ABOUT THE COMPETITION

Arc Championship

The ARC Championship is an international competition based in North America that encompasses a wide range of robotics-related skills, such as computer vision, embedded systems design, engineering, autonomous navigation, and human robot interaction.

Teams develop different robots that are uniquely designed to tackle robot specific challenges, and compete annually in the ARC Championship. Each competition consists of three challenges, a 1v1 battle, a 3v3 battle, and an engineer challenge. All of the challenges with a battle format include robots controlled by drivers with an esports-like play style, while the engineer challenge tests teams’ ability to develop a robot that can complete tasks effectively.

Robomasters China

The Robomaster University Championship is the Chinese parent competition of ARC Championship, and pioneered the way that ARC competitions are structured.

Teams are required to develop robots of different types and functions that interact with each other and their drivers during competition. Overall, 7 robots are developed by each team, and compete in a 7v7 esports-style battle format. Team drivers control their robots to fire projectiles at an opposing team’s robot, collect resources to assist their own team, and take down the opposing team’s base.
